Fixed the steps this afternoon.

On our walk this morning, I could hear a high pitched trill coming from the woods, it was a sound I'd never heard before, but assumed it was a bird of some sort. When we got close to the sound, we stood still and after a few minutes a raccoon appeared further down the path, then disappeared again into the brush. It was the raccoon making the noise, I checked it out on the net later and apparently the mother raccoon makes that sound to locate herself for any kits she has.


The fern family, two years ago I trans planted the two big ferns into the woods from the front garden, so I was happy to see they have had a little baby fern this year.
